For Rosacea "I was prescribed Mirvaso from my dermatologist for rosacea. I suffer from flushing/red face - especially my cheeks. I applied it at night to see how it worked, and I was very impressed! All the redness had disappeared. I continued to use it every day for about a week (only a little bit in the morning before I did my makeup). I thought it was a miracle cream. Every now and then, I would have hot cheeks and redness, but I put that down to my rosacea and being flared up by something like coffee. But then I started having rebound flushing, my face felt like it was on fire, my cheeks were red/purple. It was hard to work or function in life. I had never experienced burning and flushing like that before. Stay away from this product!"

For Rosacea "Worked well the first few months, when it wore off in the evening, I was redder than ever before. After about 6 months, I began to flush at random times while wearing it, and it was really, really red! Also flushed in sections, not the whole face. I am now using natural cleansers and products, and the redness has finally subsided."

For Rosacea "I tried this under doctor recommendation for my combined condition, it turned me white the first day. Great. Thirty-six hours later, I was purple all over my face and still flushing seventy-two hours later. What am I supposed to do?"

"There is light at the end of the tunnel for those going through rebound. If this helps one person, then it’s worth it. It took me over 2 weeks to largely recover, though I am on meds. Time will depend on many variables, may take longer for some. The volume of rebound stories calls into question drug approval organizations. Something is very wrong here and should be a priority in the best interests of patients. My dermo no longer prescribes based on the volume of negative stories, yet GPs dish out like confetti. After 1 application of Mirvaso, I woke up to what looked like chemical burns on my face, continued for 10 days with little improvement. 5 days after rebound, I was prescribed Eumovate, which seemed to help. Day 10 I started applying a thick layer of Sudocrem and using a fan. This was the turning point, burning skin, redness, and flushing reduced. Day 13 started lymecycline for heat/redness flare-ups. It could well just be time. Sudocrem is the turning point for me, that is. Hope this helps someone."

For Rosacea "I first thought Mirvaso was effective, but it actually increased the redness of flushing and made my skin even hotter. After two weeks of trying it, I have stopped using it and hope my rosacea goes back to what it was before, which was not good, but better than after using Mirvaso."

For Rosacea "Awful product! Was prescribed it by my dermatologist, who said I had rosacea. Does remove all redness in less than 20 minutes, but my face starts flushing hardcore after 10 hours when the product stops working. The whole time I used it, I thought my rosacea had gotten worse and worse, so I applied it daily instead of only occasionally. Stopped the cream after one month to see what would happen, and in two days my face went back to normal, and I don't even have rosacea anymore. Just a reaction to coffee. Bad doctor and bad drug. Stay away!"

For Rosacea "Had beautiful skin. Spent life caring for it. Developed light flushing as a side effect from antibiotics. Went to the derm (as recommended online). Derm prescribed Mirvaso. With 1st use, it completely destroyed my life. My skin went dead pale, and my ears turned hot and red (didn't apply it to ears). 48 hours later, the entire face turned red (did not apply it to the entire face). Face began developing a rash, getting worse and worse for 3 months. For 3 months, have had a severe flushing disorder induced by Mirvaso (not better yet). All food caused flushing. Have health problems from weight loss. On a strict diet (there are 21 foods I am able to eat). Can't lie down. Lost job. Nerve pain in nose, jaw, gums, lips, eyes, ears. Burning soap in eyes feeling."

For Rosacea "I had used Metrogel for years, but it didn't seem to be making a difference anymore, so I went to a derm, and he prescribed Mirvaso. I should have walked away when I saw the price! The first couple of days I used it, my face and along my hairline itched. Redness increased, and acne appeared. I stayed with it for two weeks; the flushing got worse, and my face burned, along with my ears and neck. Acne increased. But the worst effect was the headaches. I have migraines that I finally was able to manage with two prescriptions. The derm didn't tell me a side effect of Mirvaso. Did the FDA approve this?"

For Rosacea "Takes away flushing for a few hours, but the next day my face feels on fire. It's the only medication on the market, so I only use this sparsely when required and suffer the next day. Can't wait till they discover a permanent cure."

For Rosacea "This stuff is almost $500.00! Thought it made my flushing more intense, like a lot, and I was correct. I stopped using it, then thought, probably just my imagination, so after all winter and regular flushing, mild to moderate, on occasion... Now I look like I've been drinking, fighting, and using a treadmill close to a fire. No bueno!"

For Rosacea "The dermatologist says I have rosacea. My symptom is severe flushing. Desperate for relief, I attempted this gel. It immediately turned me white as a ghost, I looked very sick. On the second day using this gel, after 6 hours, my face turned more red than before. It eventually subsided, so on the 3rd day, I thought I’d try to use less… well, once again, 6 hours later, my face basically caught on fire. Now my butterfly rash is worse than ever. It’s not the same flush as before, either. It’s horrible. It’s been 24 hours off the gel, and it hasn’t improved. Now they want me to try something different. I have no plans on putting ANYTHING else on my face for a long time. Mirvaso caused exactly what it’s supposed to treat. After reading these reviews, this happened to what seems like everyone. It needs to come off the market. The price says it all… Do yourself a favor and don’t use this gel."

For Rosacea "I would not recommend this product to anyone. I was given a small sample from my derm, and like many people here, it worked for the first ten hours. After the ten hours, my face would flush and burn worse than ever before. I've taken it for three days now and am quitting immediately. I would have quit sooner, but I wasn't sure if the Mirvaso was causing the redness. I just can't believe derms are handing this stuff out so readily."

For Rosacea "Please do not use this cream. I had some redness on one side of my face, so my dermatologist prescribed Mirvaso, not mentioning the possible side effects. I applied a small amount on my entire face, and the redness was completely gone in 30 minutes. I was so happy to see that this is working for me. Three hours later, my face turned completely red, and I felt a burning sensation. I did my research on Mirvaso and was shocked by all the negative reviews on this product. I only used it once, and two days later my face is still red and flushing. I hope one time wasn't enough to ruin my face. I don't even understand how Mirvaso is FDA approved when 90% of the reviews are negative."

For Rosacea "I have used this product for years, even via compounding pharmacy before Mirvaso came out. I only apply a TINY amount to the affected area and have never used it more than once a week. For me, the effects last a full day, and the bad flushing starts a couple of days after one application, and I flush on and off for a few days until it stops. I find that just splashing cold water on my face gets rid of the flushing. The pimpling it gives me is mild, no different from what I would expect wearing a non-comedogenic makeup. I would recommend trying for the first time when on holidays to see how it works for you. The best thing that this did for me was feeling that I had some control over my skin. My rosacea just doesn't bother me that much anymore."

For Rosacea "Horrible rebound flushing/red spots. Do not touch this stuff. It's been one year, and redness/flushing side effects still have not normalized."

For Rosacea "I have mild/moderate rosacea with no bumps. My dermatologist recommended I try a new topical gel called Mirvaso, and I started using it every day in January 2014. At first, everything was going awesome. Would reapply when redness/heat would start. Side effects gradually took hold. Rebound redness was 10 times worse than originally. My face would randomly flush. It would burn so bad and go completely cherry red. My original problem was nowhere near that bad. Eventually, I got weeping, rashy patches all over my face. The gel reduced in effectiveness to the big mess it caused. I finally weaned myself off this vicious cycle in September 2014. Had to walk around looking like a freak. Took forever to return to normal. NOT WORTH IT!"
