Atogepant "Qulipta has given me my life back. So many blood pressure meds, shots, days and days AND DAYS of me laying on the couch in the dark with an ice pack on my head trying to just live let alone be a functional adult. I'm getting my life back. I've been out of work so long my savings are gone, part of the time we're without a utility for a day or two before I can pay to get it back on. I almost lost the house. Credit cards are maxed. Only side effect I've noticed is I have atopic dermatitis on my arms now? It's just raised bumps all over my upper and lower arms, listen I'll take it. Long as they don't turn wild I'll keep on the 60mg a day. I wouldn't wish chronic migraine on my worst enemy."

Atogepant "I've been on the 60mg dose for about 18 days now. So far, I've been migraine-free. Before medication, I was having around 9-12 migraines a month. I would have brain fog and numbness in my ears. I've struggled over 25+ years on different medications to help. I did have mild constipation for the first 3 days, that has begun to get better. The medication also makes you feel like you're not hungry or thirsty. I am reminding myself to drink more fluids because it can cause dehydration and stinky pee. It did change my pee flow, something that wasn't listed as a side effect but I experienced. At first, I thought maybe bladder infection (UTI) wasn't the case. So just remember to drink fluids. My brain feels clear and no more brain fog. I was consuming so many doses of pain control medication before this new medication. I'm completely off all other meds. Take note of your side effects."

Atogepant "Before my doctor prescribed Qulipta, I was averaging 4-6 migraines a month. These were debilitating migraines that often led me to the emergency room. I started taking Qulipta in May 2023 and have not had another migraine! As a bonus, I experienced a decreased appetite which led to a 20-pound weight loss (which I needed). This medication has been life-changing for me and my family! I take one 60mg pill every evening at bedtime."

Atogepant "I’ve been using 30 mg Qulipta daily as a preventative for 9 or 10 months. I used to get about 10 or more migraines a month plus almost daily headaches. Using this medication, I am down to an average of two migraines a month and less headaches. The pain of my migraines is much more bearable. It definitely causes constipation, and I’ve added magnesium to my daily regimen. I just had my annual blood draw and I now have metabolic syndrome, which includes high bad cholesterol, low good cholesterol, and significantly increased liver and kidney values. None of which I had before using Qulipta. Neurologist does not seem to think that it is Qulipta, but that is the only medication and change I’ve had in one year. I am experiencing some moderate hair loss as well. I am heavily debating stopping Qulipta for six months to see if my health values get better."

Atogepant "I can’t say enough good about Qulipta. I used to have to take 4-10 doses per month of Zomig, and ever since being on Qulipta, I have only taken 2 doses total! No more migraine headaches. The downside is that the drug card only covers 2 months (I had samples for the rest), and soon I will have to come off of it because my insurance won’t cover it."

Atogepant "I just started 60 mg of Qulipta one week ago. I've been noticing a lot of redness, primarily in my face and on my scalp, since starting this med, especially after showering. It kind of feels and looks like a sunburn, with some stinging. Has anyone else had a similar experience? It's too early to tell how well it's working. I also got Botox injections the day prior to starting Qulipta. I'm hoping the combination will be effective in minimizing the number of migraines I experience."

Atogepant "This medicine was like magic for the first 2 weeks I was on it! I got slight auras, but they never developed into pain or other symptoms. I have daily migraines for the last 3 years, and this reduced them to 1 over those 2 weeks, and it wasn't a bad one. However, after those 2 weeks, I had a 2-day long panic attack out of nowhere. I had to go to the hospital, and my blood pressure was 160/129. It went back down 5 hours later after that panic attack subsided. Depression got way worse, and my stomach felt like it had a baby in it without eating anything. Got off Qulipta, and all that went away when I stopped after 4-5 days. Sucks because it was awesome for the migraine! I was also only taking the 30 mg. I still recommend giving it a try! It's better than doing nothing about your migraines!"

Atogepant "Definitely worth a try. I was prescribed 60mg but started off splitting in 4ths (15mg). I'm sensitive to drugs so I decided to be cautious and I'm glad I did because this is a powerful drug… or I'm just super sensitive. On 15mg the first week, I was extremely tired and had some insomnia/irritability. All have calmed down significantly after about 2 weeks along with minimal headaches. I bumped up to 30mg and felt pretty good, just a little constipation, so you may need to start eating more fiber. Be warned that insurance companies LOVE to randomly stop paying for this drug since it is so expensive. Doctors say there is no withdrawal, but many patients say there is. Since I am taking a lower dose for a bit, I will have pills left over in case insurance tries to pull this on me. All in all, it's definitely worth a try, but it may take a few weeks for your body to adjust. Try and stick with it for at least a month or two."

Atogepant "Worked great for migraines, but side effects not worth it: initially had rash, hair seems to be falling out, overall sense of numbness (clearly affecting sex drive/performance), insomnia. I'm only taking the 30mg. No question that it's the drug causing these."

Atogepant "For the first time in my life, I am not a migraine sufferer. Qulipta has eliminated almost all headaches for me. I may experience the occasional headache, but aspirin usually takes care of them now. I've had no symptoms for the first year, but have recently begun to have back pain. I'm not certain if this is a side effect of taking Qulipta, and I'm wondering if there are other people who take Qulipta and are also experiencing back pain."

Atogepant "I was having headaches all the time. 1-2 a week. On weeks that I had my period, I would have one the entire time. Since starting Qulipta, I have had only one really bad one that caused me to stay in bed all day in the last year and a half. Now when I feel one coming on, I take an Advil and it usually goes away."

Atogepant "I have suffered from migraines for 28 years. I've also been diagnosed with bruxism, which is nightly teeth clenching that causes me to wake up with a headache almost every day. Some turned into migraines, some didn't. Some just plain started as migraines. Doctors have had me try Verapamil, Topamax, Prednisone, Nortriptyline with no success. I've been to physical therapy, tried acupuncture, seen neurologists to no avail. I was getting anywhere from one migraine per week up to four! That wasn't counting the headaches that didn't turn into migraines. Those were as little as one per week up to 6!! Nothing seemed to help until my doctor suggested Qulipta. It's only been three weeks, but the difference has been amazing!! In that time, I've only had two migraines and one minor headache!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that AbbVie will continue to allow me to use coupons to purchase this, my insurance continues to approve this, and it continues to work!!!"

Atogepant "Qulipta has been extremely effective for me. I’ve been taking it for 8 months, and in that time have only had 3 migraines. I used to get 4-6 a month on average. The three I got while on Qulipta all came when I had several triggers, and they responded well to my triptan. My only side effect has been some mild constipation, which I have found easy to manage with the occasional smooth move tea."

Atogepant "I have just finished my 1st month of Qulipta 60mg and I didn't have a single headache all month! I've only had 2 side effects. First is off and on profuse sweating and feeling hot. It was pretty bad at first but now it's subsiding. The 2nd, I had an upper respiratory infection and was put on Augmentin and I experienced severe dizziness the whole time. To the point of falling over. I've been on Augmentin before and never had dizziness so I can only assume it didn't mix well with the Qulipta."

Atogepant "I have been on amitriptyline for 7 years. Beginning a year ago, I was on a very high dose, one of the highest you can take, and still getting multiple migraines a week. I was then offered Qulipta, and it has helped tremendously, but I still have to take amitriptyline every day with the Qulipta. I went from 5-6 migraines a week to maybe 1 every 2-3 weeks. I have been taking it in the morning and haven't had any issues with sleepiness. However, one missed dose for me means an immediate migraine, so I've had to really stay on top of the timing of my dose. The only side effect I seem to have, which is not listed, is hair loss. It may not be connected, but it didn't start until I began this medication. Overall, I would definitely recommend Qulipta."

Atogepant "I have been on Qulipta for a few months. I averaged 15 or more severe cluster migraines a month. I take 60mg 1x a day. Pros are that my migraines have definitely reduced, averaging maybe 1 or 2x a week. Cons are the following: severe constipation, weird and at times horrific, vivid nightmares, and when I do get a migraine, it’s extremely severe and basically shuts me down for the day."

Atogepant "Definitely helps with migraines. I still get headaches, but they are milder, so a dose of Excedrin will take care of it instead of the whole 3 days. Room spinning and the need for a dark room are significantly reduced."

Atogepant "I have had daily headaches and migraines for many years. My doctor has prescribed many different meds for prevention and daily headaches and migraines, but nothing worked. Qulipta works! I don't have the daily headaches and I've only had two migraines in the past five weeks. It's expensive, but it works!!"

Atogepant "Completely changed my life. I went from 4 migraines a week to 0. I finally have my life back after 6 years of debilitating headaches! I take one pill each night before bed and have not had a migraine since starting the medication over a month ago. My only side effect is mild constipation. Also, my insurance doesn't cover it so I'm trying to figure out how to continue it. I'm desperate and don't know what I will do if I can't get it anymore."

"I used Atogepant for over six months. I suffer from migraines and all types of headaches. I used it in conjunction with migraine Botox treatment. The combination of the two definitely improved the quantity and severity. The only downside was the pain on my right lower back due to constipation despite eating a lot of fiber as well as fatigue and cravings. I have been off the Atogepant for over two weeks and have been suffering from migraines and headaches again. Insurance does not want to cover the Atogepant..."

Atogepant "I started taking Qulipta a few weeks ago and have had no issues other than loss of appetite. I am using it to replace Aimovig, which was effective in preventing migraines, except it would wear off before the next injection. I am of normal weight with a BMI of 20-21, so I do not need to lose weight. I am trying to force myself to eat normally, but I am down 4 lbs. I would like to know if others with this side effect have found that it improves with time."

Atogepant "I have been taking Qulipta 60 mg every day at bedtime for the last 3 weeks. So far, I can honestly say that it has helped me with my headaches by completely eliminating them! I thought it would take more time for it to start working, but it only took less than a week. I usually get a mixture of headaches and migraines at least 3-5 days a week and was given this medication to try and cut those days down so I can live and work. I did have 2 days of headaches within the first week, but I’m guessing it was because the medication hadn’t built up in my system yet. Now I’m able to work full days without having to suffer through the day. There have only been two side effects of this medication that I’ve experienced and am waiting to see if they go away with time. I do get nauseous and have to take an anti-nausea medication at times. I also seem to be more tired/sleepy than usual. Both are starting to get better as the days go by. All in all, I like this new medication."

Atogepant "I've been taking it for about 2 years. Once it starts working (give it a few weeks), it is great for prevention. My mom's migraines decreased from about 18 monthly to about 4 monthly. However, I suffer from migraines that also get worse with rain, cold weather, or storms. This doesn't help those types. This medication is not for use to abort migraines - just prevent. Highly recommend. No side effects that I have noticed. Try to get the savings card to help with costs."

"I have had severe hemiplegic migraines for 30 years - normally 6-8 a month. I started on 60 mg of Atogepant in December, but it was making me too fatigued, so I cut the tablets in half and have been taking 30 mg a day for a month now. This month, for the first time in 30 years, I had ZERO migraines. This drug is an actual miracle - I feel like I've won the lottery. Only side effect for me is constipation, but I can deal with that. Game changer."

Atogepant "Have been on Qulipta and Ubrelvy for about 1 year now. Have suffered from migraines since I was a small, small child. I am 58 now. Tried every drug under the sun, even took ibuprofen like candy. Works have migraines that last for 30+ days. Missed a lot of work due to the migraines. Finally went to a neurologist, she offered many different options. Had an MRI and have what looks like either ischemic small vessel disease or demyelination. Triptan, topamax, and other drugs did nothing to help. She put me on Qulipta and Ubrelvy and FINALLY found relief!!! The Ubrelvy works better than any other drugs I've ever taken. The Qulipta has drastically reduced the migraines and headaches to almost nil. I highly recommend both!!!"
