Official Answer by Drugs.com 17 Aug 2016

Syndros (generic name: dronabinol) is a liquid formulation of synthetic THC found in marijuana (a cannabinoid).

It is used to treat anorexia (loss of appetite) linked with weight loss in patients with AIDS, and for nausea and vomiting associated with cancer chemotherapy in patients who do not respond to the usual antinausea treatments.

The liquid formulation may allow easier dosing for many patients. Syndros is a prescription only, controlled substance medication.
