Recommended Use: VetOne^® Vitamin K-1 Chewable Tablets is for use in dogs and cats as a supplement to counter hypoprothrombinemia induced by ingestion of coumarin-based compounds, common ingredients of commercial rodenticides. Administer orally at the rate of 2.5 - 5.0 mg/kg body weight (1 chewable tablet per each 22 pounds of body weight for lower dosage or 1 chewable tablet per each 11 pounds for higher dosage) daily as conditions require up to three weeks.

Each tablet, VetOne^® Vitamin K-1 Chewable Tablets, may be given orally to dogs and cats as a treat, or crumbled over their food. If crumbled over food, consumption should be monitored.

Inactive Ingredients

Cellulose, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein, Iron Oxide, Liver Powder (Porcine Sourced), Magnesium Stearate, Silicone Dioxide, Stearic Acid, Sucrose and Whey.

Precaution(s): Temporary resistance to prothrombin-depressing anticoagulants may result, especially when larger doses of phytonadione are used. It is recommended that VetOne^® Vitamin K-1 Chewable Tablets be used in follow-up only after administration of VetOne^® Vitamin K-1 Injection and hospitalization is no longer required. An immediate coagulant effect should not be expected after administration of phytonadione when administered orally.

Phytonadione will not counteract the anticoagulant action of heparin. Failure to respond to Vitamin K-1 may indicate that the condition being treated is inherently unresponsive to Vitamin K-1.

Store at controlled room temperature; 15° C - 30° C (59° F - 86° F) and protect from light. Dispense in this container or another tight, light-resistant container.
