1One SAPU unit of protease activity is the amount of enzyme which will liberate 1 micromole of tyrosine per minute. 2One HUT unit of protease activity is the amount of enzyme that produces a hydrolysate with the same absorbance at 275 nm as a solution with 1.10 mcg/ml of tyrosine in 0.006 N HCl. 3One million FCCPU units of papain or bromelain is the amount of enzyme that will liberate after 20 min. digestion at 45 °C 48 mg amino nitrogen from a standard gelatin solution at pH 4.5 or pH 5.5. 4One DU unit of amylase activity is the amount of enzyme that will dextrinize soluble starch at a rate of 1 g per hour at 30 °C. 5One FIP unit of lipase activity is that quantity of a standard lipase preparation that liberates 1 umole fatty acid from olive oil per minute.

Vetrazyme™ contains sources of digestive enzymes which can aid in the breakdown of proteins, fats and carbohydrates in canine and feline diets. The vegetarian enzymes in combination with selected vitamins help support healthy digestion across a broad pH range.
Feeding Directions:
For best results, use daily. Administer as a treat or snack prior to feeding. May also be crumbled and mixed with pet food.
