Directions For Use

Do NOT remove the collar from its package until ready to use. Thread flat end of the collar through buckle hole and tighten as necessary, so that at least two ridges are covered by the buckle. Collar must be worn loosely, but securely enough to prevent easy removal. Leaving ample length for collar expansion as the dog grows, cut off any excessive length and discard it in household garbage. To release the collar, squeeze buckle between thumb and finger and pull sharply. Collar should be removed when dog is bathed with soap or detergents.

Do NOT use on nursing animals or dogs under 12 weeks of age. Consult a veterinarian before using on sick, aged or pregnant animals or animals receiving drug or other pesticide treatment. Replace this collar no more than once every 8 months. Replace collar every 8 months for continual pest control in situations where there is an ongoing risk of pest infestation. RETAIN PACKAGING INFORMATION FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. Treatment must only be repeated if pest problem reoccurs.

For immediate relief from existing adult fleas on your pet, this collar may be used in conjunction with other Vet-Kem on-animal products designed to kill adult fleas. For effective flea control, treatment of the pet should be combined with sanitation of any area used by the pet. Vacuum floors, carpets and furniture (discard vacuum bag after use) and wash the pet’s bedding, living quarters and surrounding areas. If pest problems persist, an insecticidal treatment of the premises may be required (e.g. Vet-Kem Siphotrol® products). A veterinarian should be consulted when pest infestation continues to be a problem on the pet.

HUMANS: DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO HANDLE THIS COLLAR. Avoid contact with mouth, eyes, skin and clothing. After handling or applying, wash hands (or any other skin that came into contact with the product) with soap and water. Avoid product contact with food, food utensils or places where food is prepared or stored.

PETS: Harmful if collar is chewed or swallowed. Avoid contact with dog’s mouth, face, eyes and genitals. Some animals may be sensitive to this collar. Any collar, when fastened too tightly, may cause skin irritation. If irritation persists after proper adjustment, remove the collar and consult a veterinarian.

HUMANS: If swallowed, call a poison control centre or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control centre or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If dust from collar contacts skin or clothing, take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control centre or doctor for treatment advice. If dust from collar gets in eyes, hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control centre or doctor for treatment advice.

Sensitivities may occur after using ANY pesticide for pets. If signs of sensitivity occur, remove the collar and bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately. If swallowed or chewed, consult a veterinarian.
