As an aid in the treatment/prevention of dehydration, acidosis and electrolyte imbalance in calves with diarrhea.
V-Lytes Dosage And Administration
Dissolve contents of one pouch (80 g) in 2 L of warm water and administer the entire amount by nursing bottle or stomach tube. Administer twice daily as needed until symptoms disappear. When reconstituted as directed the solution contains approximately:

The solution does not interfere with milk digestion and can be given to suckling and milk fed calves. Milk deprivation is unnecessary if the calf is willing to drink. Calves that refuse milk should be given electrolytes only. As they recover, re-introduce milk and decrease gradually the amount of electrolyte solution. If no improvement is seen within 2 or 3 days consult your veterinarian.
V-Lytes Cautions
Do not use in cases of upper gastrointestinal obstruction or in severely sick animals where parenteral (or alternate) therapy is indicated.
Note
The measuring cup contained herein (4 kg) when filled with a level quantity provides approximately 80 g of product.
Storage Conditions
Store between 15°C and 25°C. Protect from moisture. Keep opened pail tightly closed when not in use.
