RenaPlus Powder Caution

Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

INDICATION: For use as a supplement in potassium deficient states in cats and dogs.

CONTAINS: Each 0.65 g (1/4 level teaspoon) contains a minimum:

Potassium Gluconate

2 mEq (468 mg)

in a palatable base

Storage

Store tightly closed container in a dry place at temperatures not exceeding 35°C (95°F).

DOSAGE: The suggested dose of RenaPlus for adult cats and dogs is 0.65 g (1/4 level teaspoon) per 10 lb (4.5 kg) body weight twice daily with food. Dosage may be adjusted to satisfy patient’s need.

Warning

Do not administer in diseases where high potassium levels may be encountered, such as severe renal insufficiency or adrenal insufficiency.

PRECAUTION: Use with caution in the presence of cardiac disease, particularly in digitalized patients or in the presence of renal disease.
