RenaPlus Gel Caution
Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
Dosage and AdministrationEach 2.34 g (1/2 teaspoon) contains 2 mEq (468 mg) of Potassium gluconate in a palatable base. The suggested dose of RenaPlus Gel for adult cats and dogs is 2.34 g (1/2 teaspoon) per 10 lbs (4.5 kg) body weight twice daily. Dosage may be adjusted to satisfy patient’s need.
RenaPlus Gel is highly palatable. To initiate interest in taste, place small amount on the animal’s nose or on the roof of its mouth. Gel may be placed on the paw after initial interest has been established.
INDICATION: For use as a supplement in potassium deficient states in cats and dogs.
WarningDo not administer in diseases where high potassium levels may be encountered, such as severe renal insufficiency or adrenal insufficiency.
PRECAUTION: Use with caution in the presence of cardiac disease, particularly in digitalized patients or in the presence of renal disease.
StorageStore at controlled room temperature 15° - 30°C (59° - 86°F).
