Panacur Granule Singles Indications

Dogs: For the treatment of parasitic infections due to ascarids (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala), whipworms (Trichuris vulpis) and tapeworms (Taenia pisiformis).

Dosage and Administration

DOGS: 50 mg fenbendazole / kg body weight (equivalent to 5 g Panacur^® Granules 22.2% per 22.7 kg (50 lb) weight) each day for three consecutive days, for the treatment of ascarids, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms.

Mix the appropriate amount of drug with a small amount of the usual food. Dry food may require moistening to facilitate mixing.

If the entire amount is not consumed or if vomiting follows, deworming will not have occurred.

Panacur Granule Singles Caution

Treatment may cause emesis or slight diarrhea in some dogs. One of the benzimidazoles has been reported to cause clinical hepatotoxicity in canines. However, this effect has not been reported during the clinical use of fenbendazole.
