Description
Concentrated acid cleaner-descaler.
Formulated for hatchery mechanical washers, heating coils, and nozzles.
Melt-Down effectively removes hardened chick down, chemical residues, and hard water salts from hatchery trays, buggies, rack and box washer interiors, heating coil exteriors, and spray nozzles.
Melt-Down is recommended for use stainless steel, ceramic tile, porcelain, fiberglass, rubber, and plastic surfaces.
Directions For Use
Melt-Down may be applied by recirculating pump, brush, by soaking, or with a plastic pump-up sprayer, using the coarse setting of the sprayer for maximum contact.
Depending on the amount of “build up” to be removed on each washer interior, heating coil array, or nozzle, this procedure may require repeating bimonthly, or until the targeted build-up has been completely eliminated.
Directions For Use
1. Empty the mechanical washer tanks, and thoroughly rinse the machine with potable water.
2. Fill the mechanical washer tanks with just enough water to run the pumps (usually, filling to a water level slightly over the coil array is satisfactory).
3. Carefully add 8 gal. (30.28L) of Melt-Down to each washer tank.
4. Turn the mechanical washer on, and allow it to run for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
5. Empty washer tanks and thoroughly rinse the washer before start up.
NOTE: Make sure, when refilling the washer tanks, there are no additional chemicals being injected into the system during this filling procedure. Always use the recommended PPE when handling Melt-Down, as this product contains a strong acid.
