Immucox 3
This treatment applies to the following species:COCCIDIOSIS VACCINE, Live Oocysts
Description
This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy chickens at 1 day of age or older against Coccidiosis. The duration of immunity has not been determined. For more information regarding efficacy and safety data, see productdata.aphis.usda.gov
Precautions
Be sure that no anticoccidial (coccidiostat) is used in the feed. Even a low level of anticoccidial can reduce or negate the effectiveness of the vaccine. Broad spectrum antibiotics which possess anticoccidial activity (eg. Tetracyclines, sulfa drugs and biofurans) should not be used together with the vaccine for the first 16 days after vaccination. Do not over dose or under dose. If chickens are housed in confined space (e.g. brooding rings), they must be released from confinement by the sixth day post vaccination or the area must be at least doubled. Vaccinate only healthy chickens.Directions For Use
Follow the directions carefully. For 10,000 doses add 70 g of Cevagel® to 2.5 L of cold (2-8°C) distilled water. Mix well with a blender. No further agitation is required for use on the same day. Mix the vaccine well prior to opening. Pour half of the gel into a clean container, add the vaccine, then add the remaining gel to a final volume of 2.5 L for 10,000 doses. Mix with a blender. Vaccinate at day of age or older with a ratio of 25 mL for every 100 chickens using a gel administration machine via oral administration.
Warning
Store vaccine at 2-8°C. DO NOT FREEZE. Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter. Do not mix with other products, except as specified on the label. Contact a physician for human exposure. Inactivate unused product before disposal. Use entire contents when first opened. For use in animals only.PRESERVATIVE: Potassium Dichromate
Immucox 3 Caution
Conditions of storage and handling of the vaccine by the user, administration of the vaccine, the responsiveness of individual chickens to the vaccine and whether the directions for use and precautionary measures are being followed carefully will affect the capacity of the vaccine.
The capacity of the vaccine will be reduced or negated by freezing or high temperature and if the directions for use and precautionary measures are not followed as directed, excessive morbidity and mortality may occur. Consult a poultry veterinarian or a diagnostic laboratory for proper diagnosis. Inform the veterinarian or the diagnostic laboratory that the flock has been vaccinated.
