Equine Holding Medium

This medium was developed at Colorado State University specifically for short-term maintenance of Equine embryos. It is a complex solution containing BSA for maintaining Equine embryos for 8-10 hours at 18-30°C or for 12-18 hours at 4°C.

Recommended uses: Embryos should be removed from the recovery medium and held in a Petri dish containing Equine Holding Medium. Embryos can also be sealed in a tube of Equine Holding Medium and shipped chilled at a temperature of 4°C. This medium is also optimal for the transfer of Equine embryos using either a 0.25 or a 0.5 mL straw.

Storage conditions: Between 2-8°C. Do not freeze.
