Equi-Jec WNV Indications
For vaccination of healthy horses 4 months of age or older as an aid in the reduction of severity of clinical disease, and an aid in the prevention of viremia and mortality caused by west nile virus (WNV). Safe for use in pregnant mares. The duration of immunity (DOI) is at least 12 months for WNV.
Directions and dosage: Shake well before use. Using aseptic technique, vaccinate horses intramuscularly with a 1 mL dose. Administer a second 1 mL dose intramuscularly in 3-4 weeks using a different injection site. The need for annual booster vaccinations has not been established for this product; consultation with a veterinarian is recommended.
PrecautionsStore at 35-46°F (2-8°C). Do not freeze. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Do not mix with other products. In case of anaphylactoid reaction, administer epinephrine. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.
Preservatives: Gentamicin and Amphotericin B.
