Directions For Use
IT IS A FEDERAL VIOLATION TO USE THIS PRODUCT IN A MANNER INCONSISTENT WITH ITS LABELLING.
Use on poultry
Aids in the control of fleas, ticks, mites and other pests on poultry
Apply DE-Mite to foul coops, roosts, nesting boxes, dusting boxes and pens following Outdoor Use instructions. Apply light dusting to foul feathers using a handheld manual or power duster. Be careful to avoid application to head and eyes. Reapply no more than once per week to control the above listed pests.
Outdoor Use (Farm, Ranch): Apply using manual hand held shaker, bulb, bellows, or piston type manual or powered dry dust applicators, or solution application through garden or industrial spray equipment at a rate of 2-5 lbs/I 000 ft2 (2-5oz per 62.5 ft2). Starting point for spray solution is approximately 1 lb DE-Mite/gallon of water. For Farm and Ranch, apply powder or solution in all areas where insects a re found including door frames, window sills, outside entry ways, barns, stalls, and other outdoor structures.
Agricultural Use Requirements
Use this product only in accordance with its labeling and with the Worker Protection Standard, 40 CFR part 170.This Standard contains requirements for the protection of agricultural workers on farms, forests, nurseries, and greenhouses, and handlers of agricultural pesticides. It contains requirements for training, decontamination, notification, and emergency
assistance. It also contains specific instructions and exceptions pertaining to the statements on the label about personal protective equipment (PPE) and restricted-entry interval.The requirements in this section only apply to uses of this product that are covered by the Worker Protection Standard. Do not enter or allow worker entry into treated areas during the restricted entry interval (REI) of 12 hours.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Mixers, loaders, applicators, and other handlers must wear the following:
- long-sleeve shirt,
- long pants,
- shoes and socks
- Wear a suitable dust mask approved by - NIOSH/MSHA
User Safety Requirements
Follow manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables exist, use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry. Discard clothing and other absorbent material that have been heavily contaminated with the product. Do not reuse them. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet.
Non-Agricultural Use Requirements
Only protected handlers may be in the area during application. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet.
Environmental Hazards
For terrestrial uses: Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwater or rinsate.
STORAGE & DISPOSAL
Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal.
PESTICIDE STORAGE: Store in a cool, dry place.
PESTICIDE DISPOSAL AND CONTAINER HANDLING: Non refillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. If empty: Place in trash can or offer for recycling, if available. If partly filled: Call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions.

DE-Mite Caution
Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Use adequate ventilation and avoid breathing dust. Wear a suitable dust mask when using this product during prolonged exposure. Respirators fitted with filters certified to standard 42CFR84 as meeting an N95 efficiency are suitable.
FIRST AID:
If Swallowed: Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control center or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
If Inhaled: Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, and then give artificial respiration, preferably mouth-to-mouth if possible. Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice.
If on Skin or Clothing: Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice.
If in Eyes: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.
Have product container or label with you when calling a poison control center or doctor, or going for treatment.
