Tetanus Toxoid

This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy horses 10 months of age or older against rabies, West Nile virus, tetanus, and encephalomyelitis caused by Eastern, Western and Venezuelan viruses. A duration of immunity of at least 14 months has been demonstrated against rabies and at least 12 months against West Nile virus. Duration of immunity against the other diseases is unknown. SAFETY: Field safety testing has demonstrated that this product is safe for use in horses 3 months of age or older. Efficacy of the West Nile, Eastern, Western and Venezuelan virus fractions and tetanus has not been established in foals 3 months of age. Safe for administration of one dose during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Dosage and Administration

Shake well. Aseptically administer a single 1-mL dose intramuscularly, followed by a single dose of West Nile-Innovator^® + VEWT 3-4 weeks later. Vaccinate against rabies 1 year later, and annually after that. For routine revaccination frequency against the other diseases, or advice on revaccination in the face of stress or exposure, consult your veterinarian or the manufacturer.

Core EQ Innovator + V Caution

Store at 2°-8°C. Do not freeze. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Contains gentamicin, neomycin, polymyxin B, thimerosal, and formalin as preservatives. In case of anaphylactoid reaction, administer epinephrine. Do not mix with other products. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.

Remove serial number and expiration date label and place on the animal’s medical chart.
