FOR CALVES WITH DIARRHEA

● An aid in the treatment and prevention of acidosis and electrolyte imbalance

● An aid in the treatment and prevention of dehydration

● A source of dextrose (energy)

● Maximum absorption following oral administration

● Does not interfere with milk digestion

● Can be given to suckling calves and calves that are being hand fed milk

Calf-Lyte II HE Indications

As an aid in the treatment and prevention of dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, acidosis and as a supplementary nutrient source for newborn calves with diarrhea. Calf-Lyte II HE is designed for maximum absorption following oral administration.

Directions For Use

Dissolve 185 g (1 pouch or 2 measuring cups) in two (2) litres of hot water (37°C) and administer entire volume by bottle or stomach tube. Repeat treatment two (2) or three (3) times daily or as necessary. Calf-Lyte II HE electrolyte solution does not interfere with milk digestion and can be given to suckling calves and to calves that are being hand fed milk.

When reconstituted as directed, the solution provides approximately:

*When metabolized, is equal to 80 mEq/L bicarbonate.

Shake well before using. Discard solution if not used within 24 hours.

Contraindications

Do not use in cases of upper gastro-intestinal obstruction or in moribund animals.

CAUTIONS: If no improvement is seen within the first 48 to 72 hours, consult a veterinarian.

Storage

Store between 15°C and 25°C. Protect from moisture. Keep tightly closed.
