Using capecitabine together with cetuximab may increase the risk of serious side effects such as heart attack, heart failure, and a condition known as "hand-foot syndrome" that is caused by blood leakage from small vessels of the hands and feet. Contact your doctor if you experience chest pain, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, and/or redness, tenderness, or peeling of the palms and soles. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
