2 potential interactions and/or warnings found for the following 2 drugs:
- Bimzelx (bimekizumab)
- crizotinib
Interactions between your drugs
crizotinib bimekizumab
Applies to: crizotinib, Bimzelx (bimekizumab)
Using bimekizumab together with crizotinib may increase the risk of serious infections. In addition, bimekizumab may decrease the blood levels and effects of crizotinib. You may need a dose adjustment if you have been receiving crizotinib and are starting treatment with bimekizumab. Likewise, if you have been receiving both medications, the dose of crizotinib may need to be adjusted if bimekizumab is discontinued. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. Your doctor may already be aware of the interaction, but has determined that this is the best course of treatment for you and has taken appropriate precautions and is monitoring you closely for any potential complications. Contact your doctor immediately if you develop signs and symptoms of infection such as fever, chills, diarrhea, sore throat, muscle aches, shortness of breath, blood in phlegm, weight loss, red or inflamed skin, body sores, and pain or burning during urination. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
crizotinib food
Applies to: crizotinib
Do not consume grapefruit or grapefruit juice during treatment with crizotinib unless directed otherwise by your doctor. Grapefruit juice can increase the blood levels of crizotinib to dangerous levels and cause an irregular heart rhythm that may be serious. You should seek immediate medical attention if you develop sudden dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, shortness of breath, or fast or pounding heartbeats during treatment with crizotinib. You may take crizotinib with or without food, but take it the same time each day. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
