- topiramate
Interactions between your drugs
dorzolamide ophthalmic topiramate
Applies to: dorzolamide / latanoprost / timolol ophthalmic, topiramate
Talk to your doctor before using dorzolamide ophthalmic together with topiramate. After dorzolamide ophthalmic is instilled into the eye, the medication can be absorbed into the bloodstream and cause some of the same effects as topiramate. This may increase the risk and/or severity of side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, numbness, tingling, ringing in the ears, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, kidney stones, fever, and heat stroke. You should drink plenty of fluids while being treated with topiramate, especially during exercise or prolonged exposure to warm temperatures. Let your doctor know if you experience sudden back pain, abdominal pain, blood in the urine, painful urination, numbness or tingling in the hands and feet, decreased sweating, or a rise in body temperature. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
