Using aspirin together with tiludronate may decrease the effects of tiludronate. Aspirin should be administered at least two hours before or two hours after tiludronate. Contact your doctor if your condition changes. If your doctor does prescribe these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment or special test to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Food significantly decreases the levels of tiludronate. Tiludronate should be administered on an empty stomach with 6 to 8 ounces of plain water at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after food. This will make it easier for your body to absorb the medication.

Ask your doctor before using aspirin together with ethanol (alcohol). Do not drink alcohol while taking aspirin. Alcohol can increase your risk of stomach bleeding caused by aspirin. Call your doctor at once if you have symptoms of bleeding in your stomach or intestines. This includes black, bloody, or tarry stools, or coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
