Grapefruit can raise the levels of praziquantel in your body and increase side effects of dizziness, abdominal discomfort, and nausea.. Iodine may interfere with the uptake of sodium iodide I-131 by the thyroid . A diet low in iodine and iodinated salt is recommended before starting therapy with sodium iodide I-131.
