Interactions between your drugs
raNITIdine cefpodoxime
Applies to: Acid Control 75 (ranitidine), cefpodoxime
Using cefpodoxime together with raNITIdine is not recommended. By reducing stomach acid, raNITIdine can decrease the absorption and blood levels of cefpodoxime and make the medication less effective against infections. You may need to stop taking raNITIdine while you are being treated with cefpodoxime, or your doctor may want to prescribe a different antibiotic. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
cefpodoxime food

Food can enhance the levels of cefpodoxime tablets in your body. Take the cefpodoxime tablets with food to increase absorption by the body. The cefpodoxime suspension can be taken with or without food. You should take cefpodoxime at the same time each day.
