Cholestyramine may interfere with the absorption of medroxyPROGESTERone when these medications are taken at the same time. This may reduce the blood levels and effects of medroxyPROGESTERone. To prevent or minimize the interaction, medroxyPROGESTERone should be taken at least 1 hour before or 4 to 6 hours after the cholestyramine dose. Contact your doctor if your condition changes or your symptoms worsen during treatment with these medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Therefore, it is recommended that you take multivitamin with minerals at least 1 hour before or 4 to 6 hours after cholestyramine to minimize the risk of interaction.
