Drug Interaction Report
1 potential interaction and/or warning found for the following 2 drugs:
- Amen (medroxyprogesterone)
- elafibranor
Interactions between your drugs
medroxyPROGESTERone elafibranor
Applies to: Amen (medroxyprogesterone), elafibranor
Elafibranor may reduce the blood levels and effectiveness of medroxyPROGESTERone, which may make it less reliable as a form of birth control. This is particularly important because elafibranor may cause fetal harm. Alternative or additional methods of birth control such as condoms should be used during treatment with elafibranor and for 3 weeks after stopping treatment to avoid unintended pregnancy. Talk to your gynecologist or other healthcare professional for help in selecting an effective method of birth control that is best for you. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
No alcohol/food interactions were found with the drugs in your list. However, this does not necessarily mean no food interactions exist. Always consult your healthcare provider.
Therapeutic duplication warnings
No duplication warnings were found for your selected drugs.
Therapeutic duplication warnings are only returned when drugs within the same group exceed the recommended therapeutic duplication maximum.
