Usual Adult Dose for Acne
Cream and gel: Apply to affected areas once or twice daily after washing with a mild cleanser and water.
Cleanser and pads: Apply to affected areas once or twice daily. Wet skin and apply to areas, massage gently into skin for 10 to 20 seconds and work into a lather, then rinse thoroughly and pat dry.

Precautions
Contact with eyes, eyelids, lips, and mucous membranes should be avoided. If accidental contact occurs, the exposed area should be rinsed with water.
Benzoyl peroxide may bleach or discolor hair or clothing.
Exposure to sunlight should be avoided and sunscreens should be used.
Patients should be advised to discontinue use and notify their physician if excessive irritation occurs. After reaction clears, therapy may often be resumed with less frequent applications.
Safety and effectiveness have not been established in pediatric patients.
