Moderate Potential Hazard, High plausibility. Applicable conditions: Renal Dysfunction, Hyperkalemia, Diabetes Mellitus, Liver Disease
There have been reports of electrolyte imbalances including hyperkalemia with arginine infusions (especially at high doses). The risk may increase in patients with renal impairment, diabetes, and hepatic impairment. Caution is advised when used in these patients.
