"My doctor prescribed me this antibiotic, tinidazole, after finding traces of the blastocystis parasite in my stool. I was a little reluctant to take it at first since it’s a one-time dose of four pills, and I’m only 110 pounds. However, after taking it, I didn’t experience any harsh symptoms like others have. The only thing that really bothered me was the weird taste in my mouth that lasted for about three days. Most of the time, I could ignore it, except when I ate sweet foods... it tastes like spoiled milk. After about two days, I started having dark brown discharge that still hasn’t gone away after five days. I have looked up that this is a common side effect, so hopefully, it will go away soon. I recommend you take this right after a big meal in the middle of the day."

"Tinidazole was found effective in my treatment for an intestinal infection I had used metronidazole for. I started having proper bowel movement and can visit the bathroom regularly as opposed to my prior treatment."

"Good medicine, despite metallic taste. Avoid alcohol and take it midway during meal."

"Dientamoeba fragilis is notoriously difficult to get rid of. I've tried anti-parasite herbs, Flagyl, Alinia, Tinidazole plus Yodoxin, and most recently, Tinidazole plus Paramomycin. The first time I had a very low dose (250 mg), but I actually felt much better while taking it. After I finished, though, symptoms worsened again. The second time I took 1000 mg, and that knocked out about 90% of my pain and other symptoms for about 4 months, until I took an antibiotic for a different infection. Then, it worsened again. But overall, I feel like Tinidazole worked far better than any of the other remedies (including the herbs, dietary restrictions, and digestive enzymes)."
