For Urinary Tract Infection "I've taken Septra DS before (with no side effects), but for some reason this time it is different! It has given me severe insomnia! Very odd and super frustrating. Also has caused me a lot of nausea, but the doctor prescribed Zofran (also known as the miracle medicine for nausea), so that's better. Also feel a bit 'out of it' and lethargic. One last strange symptom it's causing me is 'urinary hesitancy.' Had no idea there was such a thing until I spoke to my doctor about it. Hoping these symptoms resolve, or I may need to switch medicines, as I'm only halfway through this 10-day treatment."

For Urinary Tract Infection "Makes me extremely nauseated. Cannot tolerate it. Have had multiple UTIs, and Septra sometimes doesn't get rid of the infection all the way. Causes insomnia and almost confusion."

For Bacterial Infection "I am taking Septra for an infection on the tip of my nose. Day one was horrible. Nausea, fatigue, and vertigo (felt like a flu). That lasted one day. Days 2-7 have been without issues. I take it with a meal and a good 12-16 ounces of fluid. Three days to go, and I expect that will be fine. My infection appeared much better by the 4th day."
