"I've been taking Sunosi 75mg for over a week now. First couple days I didn't notice any difference. Normally I am in bed 7:30 or 8pm at the very latest because I could not stay awake. I yawn all day long and just ready to drop. I can not ever get enough sleep even if its 12 or more hours. On the 3rd day of taking Sunosi I had to catch myself because I looked at the clock and it was 10:30pm. I was not ready for bed but I forced myself because I knew I would pay for it in the morning. I woke up before my alarm went off at 4am. It had been the same every day since. I still yawn occasionally during the day but I am able to stay up much later and wake up easier in the morning. Thank you Sunosi!"

"I've been taking Sunosi for around two months for OSA. I started at 75mg daily and I've been taking 150mg for about two weeks. It is probably important to note that I also take 250mg of Nuvigil and 20-60mg of adderall daily as well. I started the Sunosi with the goal of stopping the adderall. My diagnosis is severe OSA with excessive daytime sleepiness. Narcolepsy was ruled out although I experience restless legs and occasional sleep paralysis. I hold my breath in my sleep and wake up feeling like I am suffocating because I cannot force myself to breathe. I have used a CPAP regularly for more than 10 years, and the data shows that my sleep apnea is well controlled. But even so I sleep between 15 to 18 hours per day Sunosi was ineffective at 75mg. At 150mg I am awake but too fatigued to do anything. It has caused anxiety, headaches, excessive sweating, nausea, and diarrhea."

"First day took half of 75mg. Went home and took a nap. Woke up and took the other half, still went to bed a few hours later. Medicine had no effect on me. Got up the next morning took a whole 75mg in the morning. Felt sleepy on my way to work an hour later. Felt ok through the morning at work but when the afternoon came it all changed. I got sleepy and very agitated. I felt like I hadn’t slept in 3 days but my eyes were forced open. I felt terrible and was very angry and bothered. Tried a whole again the next morning. Here I am laying on the couch ready to take a nap 5 hours later. I feel like the medicine has no effect whatsoever other than annoying me and keeping my eyes open when my body desperately wants sleep."

"Sunosi doesn’t work for me. It’s been about a week at 150mg. It makes me crash hard at the end of the day (around 4pm). At the end of the day, I’m more tired than if I didn’t take it at all. I’ve been waiting for this “miracle medication “ for a few months and I’m disappointed. Nuvigal was great but it stopped working ."

"I have OSA and use a CPAP. I also have severe RLS which is treated with oxycodone. I am constantly tired. I heard about Sunosi and asked my doctor about prescribing it for me. She first wanted to try modafinil. This did absolutely nothing and actually made me feel worse from the side effects, which I found later that oxycodone and modafinil have “major” interactions. (Not sure how my doctor or the pharmacist dropped the ball on that one). So finally my doctor agreed to try the Sunosi. Started at 75mg, felt absolutely nothing good or bad. After several days went up to 150mg, still no improvement in my sleepiness after several weeks of trying. I’m now weaning off ( as recommended by my doctor) since the medication did nothing for me, and I feel awful. I’ve been having panic attacks and my heart rate has been elevated and I also feel achy all over! Not sure if anyone else has had this experience trying to get off the medication but I feel worse than ever!"

"I have used my CPAP religiously. But even after starting CPAP, I was still exhausted. After work was a nap until I had to go pick up my husband. My lunch time was a nap. Getting out of bed in the morning was considered cruel and unusual punishment. I had decided to just live with it. But then one of my doctors suggested Sunosi. I was a little skeptical, but desperate to stay awake longer. The 75 mg didn’t have much of an effect on me, but boy, the 150 mg has been life changing! I’m thinking more clearly, daytime napping is gone, and I’m able to get to sleep at a decent hour because I haven’t napped. It wonderful to feel like a normal human instead of constantly being exhausted."

"Been on Sunosi 150mg. daily for approx. a year and a half. Initially, seemed to work pretty well. No more daytime sleepiness and fatigue. As time has passed the positive effects I used to experience have evaporated. I take a dose early in the morning and I'm falling asleep by 10:00am. I had the same results with 200mg. daily dose of Modafinil which I took before the Sunosi. Frustrating."

"I have been on max dose for 2+ years. It has never provided me any benefit whatsoever. I have stayed on it because I am so desperately exhausted. I do have other health issues that cause severe exhaustion: hypotension, ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia, Primary Sjögren's syndrome, POTS, now early stage lupus, and absolutely no help or hope from any of my doctors. My rating is 1 out of 10."

"I started using Sunosi about 6 months ago. I started out on 75 mg and upped the dosage to 150 mg. I know you are suppose to take it in the morning, but it does not get me through an entire day. So I started taking it around noon or 1pm and that has worked well for me. If I know I am going out for the evening, I will take another one around 5-6 pm to get me through the night until about 11pm. What I like is, not having any side effects. Unfortunately, my insurance won't pay for Sunosi so I am being forced to switch to Nuvigil which is a narcotic, so I am not happy about that. My doctor was giving me free samples (thank goodness). I would recommend Sunosi to anyone, in fact I am going to see if I qualify for their $9.00 coupon for a year because I don't want to take a narcotic."

"This medicine is changing my life for the better. I use to wake up in the morning and within 30 minutes I was back asleep. I couldn’t hold my eyes open and would sleep all day. Until I started taking this medicine. I’m like a new person. I am on 150 mg"

"I’ve been taking Sunosi for a month. I started at 37.5mg and worked up to 150mg. Sunosi has been keeping me awake during the day, but both my heart rate and BP are elevated. Insomnia is also becoming a problem. My doc lowered my dose to 75mg, but I still have elevated heart rate and BP. I’ll probably have to stop the medication. Disappointing! I had the same problem with Nuvigil and Provigil."

"Initially I took the 75 mg dose. Had decent results for about a week and then became less effective, although it still was better than nothing. Increased to the 150 mg dose and experienced similar results, but began to have diarrhea with such regularity that I would rather be sleepy. I was going to drop back to 75 mg to get some of the benefit and see if the poop problem got better, but the coupon would no longer work and my cost was going to be $150 a month, which I refuse to accept."

"Excessive daytime fatigue. I tried armodafinil 150mg first and it worked well by 2nd week, then energy uptake stopped and suffered through pounding heart, restlessness, anxiety and nausea. Next was Sunosi 75mg. It skipped the ‘energy’ part and went straight to all the awful side effects. I held on it for about 10 days before it was intolerable. Now taking Adderall , 10- 15mg, once a day. I experience a window of energy for about 2 hours ( nothing excessive, just alert like after a good nights sleep, which I haven’t had for 2 years). Sometimes with med I experience a ‘crash’ of agitation and exasperated cervical dystonia but that was pre-existing and is usually non- existent because of treatment therapy. The side effects of the non- amphetamine drugs were too much too tolerant, with little relief. I will stick to the occasional Adderall, which I take every 2-3 days , when my responsibilities become backlogged due to my inertia."

"Sunosi was not my friend. Did help me stay alert, gave me an internal feeling of agitation. I appeared anxious but never felt any anxiety. At the end of the day I always had a crash effect but never felt any type of kick in effect after taking it in the morning. My hands would twitch and I would type incorrectly on the keyboard while working and the mouse would fly. All extremities had tremors. My sleep was only 3-4 hours a night. This was the only medication that ever gave me a single digit score on a sleep questionnaire with my doctor but the side effects were horrible. I’m now taking something else."

"We are not really sure of what my diagnosis is one doctor says the circadian clock no longer works because of the hypothetic disfunction the other says OSP. Side note 20 mg of sildenafil an hour before bedtime will bring you down to one or fewer events per hour. I am on sildenafil 20 mg a for for Pulmonary Hypertension. Sunosi was the third medication they tried on me for awareness. The first 2 did not work. My doctor slowly got me to 150 mg. It worked for about 2 weeks. Now I take it before walking my dog at 6:30 a.m, and my 8 a.m I am out in a deep sleep for at least 5 hours. All of our bodies are different. The problem with chronic fatigue is no one agrees on the source. Until we learn to treat the source, this is all a guessing game. Also be careful because it can raise your blood pressure. I am on a blood pressure medicine, and two with side effects to lower you blood pressure. I average about 170/90, and my cardiologist said there is noting which can be done."

"My PA gave me a couple of samples of Sunosi 150mg because I told him I was still sleepy during the day even though I've been on CPAP steadily for over a year. I'd seen the TV ads for Sunosi, so I had high hopes for it. Unfortunately, it's been a disappointment. I'm only somewhat less sleepy during the day since I've been taking it. I still find myself fighting sleep during what are supposed to be "waking" hours. On the plus side, though, I haven't had any side effects from it. I'll just have to find something else."

"It might work for a couple of days, then the helpful effect of keeping me alert stops, and I have to stay off it for an interminable amount of time before it returns to being effective. But while the positive effects may wane, the negative effects of nausea, depression, and insomnia may linger for hours. Worse, I have to wait up to 2 hours to discover if Sunosi - 75mg - will work that day. Thankfully, I have a doctor who understands this and gave me a prescription for Adderall, which works unconditionally."

"Have obstructive and central apnea and have been diagnosed with hypersomnia. Have taken Adderall for close to 30 years, currently 60mg but as high as 90mg. Even with a Cpap tired all day. Last 8 years really needed to start taking naps mid-day. Has Provigal added, and at first it helped. Dropped the Provigal and prescribed Sunosi. I have to say that at 75mgs, this has been effective and keeps me up throughout most days without a nap."
