For Obesity: “I have been taking Sibutra Lean 30mg for 1 month now and I have lost 10 pounds so far. It is great and really curbs my hunger and cravings. The only side effects that I have experienced is a dry mouth and insomnia, but other than that it really works well.”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “I have to say I am greatly disappointed that this medicine was taken off the market. I obsessed about food all the time. I ate all the time and I ate extremely large portions. I took this for two months up until it was discontinued. I could not believe it. I lost 20 pounds. I did not exercise once. Surprisingly, I thought about food much less. I oddly craved healthier foods, I ate smaller portions and would be satisfied with the amount. And I lost 20 pounds without even thinking about it. I couldn't believe how much free time I had when I was not thinking about food. I wish that it wasn't taken off the market due to cardiac issues. I mean come on, even cardiac medicines can cause cardiac issues. How come those aren't take off the market?”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “I really don't understand why Meridia was discontinued. It really worked very well for me in 2008. I did heart stress testing before using it to be safe. I went once a month to doctor to check on my progress & how I was feeling. It really took away my constant hunger. I lost 35 - 40 pounds over the course of about five months. I felt fantastic. Kept the weight off for 3 years and appetite remained decreased for that time. Didn't make me feel "speedy" at all. I had increased energy but no nervousness. The energy helped with workouts & positivity. I think they really should bring this pill back because it really does work when carefully prescribed and monitored. The FDA should reconsider and do some new studies. New alternatives don't compare”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “After my separation from my now ex husband, I was at the highest weight I'd even been. Almost 200 pds. I asked my doctor about this medicine. He told me the risks we did the test, and went for monthly blood pressure checks to make sure I wasn't have any side effects. I loved this medication. In total I started at a size 22 and went down to a 9, I won't get on a scale so I don't know weight difference. I just knew I hadn't changed anything in my day to day activities, but kept loosing the weight anyway. I'd love to have this medicine back in my medicine cabinet. I'm a short female only 4 11, so I've suffered with my weight my whole life, but this medication finally helped it not be an issue.”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “Loved this diet pill! No side effects and it worked. I lost 20 lbs in one month. Very upset it's off the market. I only used it that one time, but if ever needed to loose weight again I would want to use it again!”

For Obesity: “This is good. No, this is great, a gift from Heaven. For me, who can eat just for fun, anytime, large portions, it is a life saver. I lost 15 kgs in about 8 weeks, only by using GS and carefully watching what I ate (quality , high protein, vegetables, very low carb food) . Also I have been doing cross-fit trainings 2-3 times per week. Even with training it does help, makes me stronger, happier, more achieving. My issue is , that I am a naturally lazy person, slow metabolism, low blood pressure. Not extremely overweight, (worst was 79kg /164 cm) but could kill for food, if I had to. GS is not available in Hungary, so had to do some research, and get it delivered from Slovakia. I feel light, I feel free. Those big meals are over, laziness is over. I highly recommend. I am 45, and feel better when I was 30.”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “I'm devastated to learn that Meridia has been taken off the market. It is the only thing that has worked for me in terms of weight loss. I can walk, eat healthy all day, but Meridia is what gave me portion control. It turned the cravings off. I am so sad. I was just going to get another prescription after being off it for 2 years. In the last 2years I've tried loosing weight without Meridia and have been very unsuccessful. Now, I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm about 90lbs overweight and each time I was on Meridia I lost about 40lbs in 2 months. Both times, Meridia had given me the energy to exercise. As I said before, I'm devastated. I was really looking forward to getting on Meridia to jump start this weight loss and now I don't know what to do.”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “I startied taking Meridia in December 2007 weighing 226 lbs to begin. The first month I lost 20 lbs. I felt great. I then went on to lose 71 more pounds for a toal of 91 pounds. People do not even know its me. I felt great on it. But I will say a good diet of fruit, veggies and protein plus lots and lots of excerise are the key. Meridia alone will not do it. I took up running, walking, group kickboxing and step aerobics. I feel wonderful I am at my goal and life is great. I am currently not on Meridia anymore. I stopped after 7 months. Lost the rest with will power. You MUST EXCERCISE.”

For Obesity: “Used this back in 2009. Lost over 4 stone. They are amazing. No appetite and you feel full after a few mouthfuls. Side effetcs were dry mouth, some agitation, inability to keep still for long and insomnia. If taken very early in the morning and avoid caffeine, the insomnia can be controlled. Stopped taking them due to it being pulled. Unfortunately I have put 2 St back on! Just got some more after a long time looking. Hope to see same results.”

For Obesity: “I'm on Sibutramine 15mg for 6 years now. Had some brief periods without it but I always come back to it, because I really don't like the hunger I used to get many times a day before using it. Had some palpitations when exercising and noticed a tiny increase in my BP and BPM. These were almost gone after some weeks but you may feel it again sometimes. Overall I don't have that need of eating too much or many times a day as my colleagues do, and when exercising I perspire a lot more because of the thermogenic effect it has. It's like a perfect medicine for obesity.. But some ppl need a lot less than 15mg. Maybe 5mg is enough for some.. And like Diabetes or High Blood Pressure, obese people MAY need a medicine like this for life..”

Feeling wonderful. February 8, 2009

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “I started to take Meridia 2 weeks before Christmas 2008. During my first two weeks I lost 16.5lbs. The following two weeks I lost another 2lbs. I will return to my doctor this week to see how much more I have lost. I have gone from a size 16 to a size 12 in less than 2 months. I feel wonderful, my children have commented on how much energy I now have. However exercise and proper diet is the key, and you need to continue doing so even once you are off. It feels wonderful, I can now wear a bathing suit once again. I started at 174lbs and am now at 151lbs. I recommend this to anyone who is serious about getting into shape and becoming healthy again.”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “When I first began my diet my weight was over 320 lbs. I'm not sure how far over 320 lbs I was exactly, (the scale we owned only went that high, anything above that gave "E" for error). I began the diet using the weight watchers program, eating the healthy foods helped me begin the weight loss process but more importantly got my blood pressure under control. Once my blood pressure was in fair range my doctor prescribed Meridia, and I've found it to be a great help. I weigh currently 240 lbs.”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “I started taking Meridia about 2-3 weeks ago and haven't lost a pound. In fact, it actually has been doing the opposite of what it is supposed to do. It doesn't really control my appetite and actually makes me crave lots of sweets. ”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “I went in for a consultation with a plastic surgeon to remove excess weight. I am middle age and have never had a problem losing weight until I reached 40+. The doctor looked at me and told me I didn't need lyposuction, what I needed was to loose weight. I explained I've tried very hard with no results. The doctor then prescribed merida to me. I have had great results. I've lost approximatley 15 pounds. I have had very little side effects, an occassional restless night.”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “I've been taking Meridia for off and on for several months and I have to say I'm very pleased. Even though it is pricey it works! Some of my side effects were stomach pain (if I over ate at one sitting), some dry mouth and heart burns. Nothing severe to the point where I would want to stop taking Meridia. I haven't gained any of the weight that I have lost. When I first started taking Meridia I was 210lbs. I was able to lose 15lbs and not gain it back, after stopping for about 6 months. Now I have started taking Meridia again again for about one month and I will continue to do so until I reach 170lbs. I see my Doctor once a month for my refills and lab work.”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “Meridia is amazing! I have tried EVERY diet you can think of - Weight watchers, Nutrisystem (twice), Slimfast, Atkins, Alli, Apple cider vinegar, and regular calorie reduction. None of these diets has ever resulted in a loss of more than 3-4 pounds. Although I had some issues regarding insurance coverage, I was able to get Meridia at the end of July, and began August 1st. I have been on Meridia now for almost 2 months and as of yesterday I have lost exactly 20 pounds! I feel so relieved to finally do something that actually works. My appetite has decreased dramatically - I can eat a portion of my meal and be satisfied and turn down sweets with ease. I would recommend it to EVERYONE!”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “I am so thankful my doctor prescribed me Meridia. After giving birth at 37 years old I packed on 65 extra pounds that even with diet and exercise would not come back off. I am happy to say I have lost 60 lbs with Meridia. As for the debate on whether it is safe falls on your doctor. Obviously if you have heart conditions already you should not take this product. Your doctor should know if your able to take this medication. I am no longer on Meridia and haven't gained any weight back either. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I feel so much healthier now.”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “Before I go into this product it should be noted, normally I am against any weight loss medicine. However, after being on a restricted calorie diet and exercise regime with no results over a three month period, my doctor and I decided to try this medicine in combination with what I am doing already. So far, this is day 4 of using Meridia and my weight has dropped 3.6lbs, with mild side effects being anxiousness. The first day I felt spacy, but that subsided and now I have ZERO appetite. I will post again later this month, but as of right now I am thrilled at the results. This medicine is pricey, but to me was worth every penny.”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “I have been on Meridia for one year under my doctor's supervision. During that time I have lost 108 pounds. My doctor has been able to gradually take me off of all 3 blood pressure prescriptions, simvastatin and metformin. It has been very effective in helping me control my appetite and thus lose weight. I have increased energy, sex drive, and generally a much better disposition and outlook on life. It has been great for me. I have another 12 pounds to lose to reach my goal weight of 174. Once that is achieved, he intends to keep me on Meridia for another 6 months to enable my body to achieve the correct amount of Leptin production necessary to maintain my new weight and prevent me from regaining the 120 lbs I will have lost.”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “I started taking 10mg of Meridia 9 days ago. So far I have lost 6 pounds. As for side effects honestly I really can't say that I can even tell that I am taking the pill. The only thing that comes to mind is one night I had slightly strange taste in my mouth and was more thirsty than normal. This pill really works. I feel more motivated to work out and eat healthy, (the $120 price tag may have something to do with that too). At dinner half way through my salad I'm full, I've honestly have had no problem resisting the temptations of Starbucks mochas and the large bowl of mini-candy bars at work. Something that would have been basically un-heard of before. So 6lbs down 35ish more to go.. Wish me luck!”

Meridia (sibutramine) for Obesity: “YOU MUST BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE AND DO YOUR RESEARCH about Meridia AND the current drugs you are taking! I was overweight, diabetic, with high blood pressure and high liver enzymes. My doctor thought more pills and/or shots or increasing dosages was the answer to everything. I was on 11 different medicines and had no energy and just wanted to sleep all the time. Doctor prescribed Meridia, nothing happened. 4 weeks later, she increased the dose, no change. So I was complaining about not losing any weight and someone said "maybe there's a drug interaction with something you're already taking". I never even considered that. Went online and gee-whiz and bang it wasn't just the Meridia, there were several interactions going on! DON'T DO THIS WITHOUT CONSULTING YOUR DOCTOR! I went off all the medicines and started from scratch. Began with 2 of the diabetic and 1 blood pressure medicine. My appetite dropped immediately. Took sugar and blood pressure readings every 4 hours for a week. My sugar and blood pressure stayed normal. So I added the Meridia. I ate only half servings of whatever I wanted other than sweets. MY GOAL WAS NOT TO DIET BUT TO LEARN A NEW EATING BEHAVIOR. My weight was 199.5lbs and now 6 weeks later I've lost 16 pounds (2-3 pounds a week). Had to reduce the dose of my diabetic medicines two times. (I'm totally off the insulin). Now I only take the 2 diabetic and 1 blood pressure medicine and the Meridia (15mg) daily. I feel good and have normal energy. I have very mild nausea every day and get massive heartburn if I eat to many carbohydrates. The cost is $196.00 a month. But this is well worth it to get my weight stable and improve my health.”
