Selenium sulfide topical for Tinea Versicolor "I've had Tinea Versicolor come and go for a few years now and it has been a pain. I did my research and saw many success stories from using Selsun Blue with 1% selenium sulfide in it. I've only been using it for a day, leaving it on overnight, and I have seen amazing results, it's almost gone! It is also getting rid of my white spots. The only con is that it may burn/itch and can be messy. Other than that, it is a huge success!"

Selenium sulfide topical for Tinea Versicolor "I've had tinea versicolor for about 6 years now. There have been times when the spots blend into my skin a little more, but eventually it would always come back. I recently started some research online and found all these amazing reviews for Selsun Blue. I've only been using it for about a week now, but the spots have significantly faded already! The ONLY thing I will recommend is to make sure you moisturize at least once a day while using it. The shampoo really dried my skin out, to the point where I could see cracks from dryness. However, as soon as I moisturize, it goes away and does not itch. Selsun is unquestionably an amazing product. I've been seeing a lot of reviews for using Lamisil as well, which I will soon be trying as well."

For Tinea Versicolor "PT 2: The next day, I woke up with burns in the creases below my breasts and where my skin had been touching ('stomach roll' to put it plainly). I do sweat in my sleep and thought perhaps the friction of the skin contact with the lotion and sweat caused the reaction, but after spending the next few days with my breasts taped up, the red marks began to heal and left some pretty bad skin burns that had to heal and were raw if I didn't keep them dry with tape and cotton pads. The tinea versicolor did go away, but I got a fun new skin irritation. Just wanted to warn others about my mix-up in case they read the comments wrong or have sensitive skin like me to be careful!"

For Tinea Versicolor "I have had tinea since I was in high school, like 5 years ago. And I have read people’s experience with Selsun. I tried to put Selsun with 1.8% on my tinea and sleep on it. I did this for 3 days. My skin looks so red, itchy, patchier, and looks bad :( I hope it will heal :( I have read recently that you should leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing it off. I'll see how this goes next time."

For Tinea Versicolor "I’ve had Tinea versicolor since high school. Up until recently, nothing I’ve tried has helped. Someone recommended I use Selson 1%, and it was the best advice I’ve ever gotten. Within 2 days, the intense itching had gone away, and the spots have already begun to fade drastically at 3 weeks. I have an upcoming vacation to the beach, and I’m actually excited to wear a two-piece!"

Selenium sulfide topical for Tinea Versicolor "Selsun Blue had been suggested to me by my doctor for tinea versicolor, and as soon as I started using it, I woke up the next day with my 'spots' doubled pretty much. Now I'm so itchy that I can't sleep sometimes."
