"Livalo works for me after issues with other statins. Extremely high cost of Livalo is a budget killer. Zypitamag is not a generic for Livalo but uses the same active ingredient (pitavastatin). I’ve been using it for 5+ months and have observed absolutely no difference. The biggest problem I had was convincing my family doctor to write a prescription, even after providing him with supporting data. I ended up showing the same data to my cardiologist and had no problem getting the script."
