Nicotrol Inhaler (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "Although my doctor thought this was far superior to anything else, it just didn't work for me. I was successful in stopping for 4 days. However, I couldn't sleep and I turned into a cranky old man. I had a real short fuse. I can see how this could be good for some but it just wasn't my cup of tea."

Nicoderm CQ (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "This works good only when the patch stays on. I found the clear patches don't stay on like the tan ones do. I'm having a hard time finding the tan ones anymore did they discontinue them? The clear patches continually fall off. The adhesion is not near as good. I had to switch brands to Life brand because they have the tan ones and the adhesion is great."

Nicorette (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "So today is my first day of stopping smoking, Previously I have tried to stop using the patches but later learned that I was allergic to them resulting in a rash. Anyway today I’m using the gum and after only trying 1 of them I would MUCH rather go cold turkey then to have them everyday! After a minute of having it I started to get a burning sensation at the back of my throat which is a common side effect but one I rather not have and then I started to feel faint and dizzy so I chucked it in the bin couldn’t take it anymore! It’s currently been more then 5 hours since I’ve taken that single bit of gum and I’m now getting really bad stomach pains, nausea, dizziness & fatigue... not only that what’s the point of taking the gum which has addictive nicotine in it to try and stop smoking? It doesn’t make sense. I actually didn’t know that when I bought it silly me but in my opinion I would much rather go cold turkey then to put my body though all that pain to stop smoking!"

For Smoking Cessation "I've been on nicotine (various products) for nearly 15 yrs, and I feel great, I run twice a week 5k, and eventually will stop, but as it is, I don't smoke and each time I stop the patch I find I have to go get a cigarette- hence I stay on a low dose. I don't smoke and that my friend is what matters."

Nicorette (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "Completely useless product. While it worked while it was on my skin. All of the 21x 24h patches fell of after at most 1 hour and did not stick to anything anymore. So while the medication might work. the product itself does not."

Habitrol (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "The patches work great. No itching or other side effects to my skin. Only downfall to the product is the patches are not waterproof & come off after being exposed to water. Plus even after washing my skin with alcohol, I still need to put tape over the patch to keep on for the day. Great product otherwise."

Habitrol (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "The first habitrol patch that I applied fell off immediately. I put it back on using scotch tape. The second day, it fell off after about one hour. Again, used scotch tape. Today, third time, it fell off after a few minutes. These do not adhere."

Commit (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "I quit smoking with Commits help for five years. We sold our home and moved a 1000 miles and had a new home built. It happened fast and I was so stressed I started smoking again. It's been a year and six months and I am now back on Commit again. Problem is, I used them for the entire five years. I started having a lot of cavities and that worried me. Don't know if it was the constant use or not. They also gave me uncontrollable gas. It went away when I stopped use. These are still better than cancer. They do work. "

Commit (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "I was a smoker for over 20 years. For the last ten years I was a relatively light smoker, about 1/2 pack a day. I had tried at least four serious attempts at quitting smoking. The lozenges were very effective and I did completely quit smoking. I have not smoked in over two years and feel very happy about that. However, I am now addicted to the lozenges themselves. I have taken about five a day for two years! I truly do believe it is still better than smoking. However, I have had some recent health problems and suspect the lozenges may be part of the problem. I quit them yesterday. I feel extremely cranky, but determined."

Nicoderm CQ (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "Proper and consistent adhesion needs to become priority . 25 minute ordeal of wiping..drying...using alcohol swab...applying patch(es)...cutting fabric tape not even sold in pharmacies (given by friend a long time ago)...now running low on said tape...applying tape...noticing throughout day that sections of patch no longer touching skin. Dreams at night seem real and last long time. Not well rested next day even after long sleep."

For Smoking Cessation "I've been using the patch for almost a week now and normally I would smoke 10-12 cigarettes a day, and during this past week I've only had 4 or 5. I don't feel the need to smoke like I used to. However, I notice that after about 15 minutes of putting the patch on, the area gets very itchy for about 30 minutes. There have been days where I feel very weak and tired, and sometimes nauseous and dizzy. My biggest complaint is having a hard time falling asleep. But I rather lose a little sleep than to keep smoking. These patches really do work. "

Commit (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "I'm convinced the Lozenge has saved my life. For me, the patch was awful. I chewed the gum so hard my jaw was very painful. The lozenge was perfect, especially since I was a chewer of tobacco, not a smoker. After my first child was born, I knew I needed to quit and finally got committed (no pun intended). I have been tobacco free for about 5 years, but like others, I still use lozenge's daily. I will make an attempt to get off them as I've had some stomach or intestinal pains lately. Still a way better choice than all the cancer causing things in the tobacco."

For Smoking Cessation "Smoked for over 40 years. Quit occasionally but always went back. Using the patch has worked. Started patches and they work. Smoke the 1st couple of days and now after 1 month I have had a butt nor do I crave one. Really a bad habit. Expensive? Cost $25 every 2 weeks. 1 pack a day habit every 2 weeks, pack a day, $130 every 2 weeks."

Commit (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "Commit really works if you want to stop smoking. The cons are: stinging or burning at first which goes away; heartburn definitely if you use them frequently; gas. The major CON is COMMIT REALLY ARE ADDICTIVE THEMSELVES! Considering that we are dealing with an addict in the first place....we will use Commit constantly. I have a lozenger in my mouth constantly. ...even while sleeping! There has to be a better way. Trying to go down to the 2mg lozenger and use according to the directions. Certainly don't think of cigarettes. Hate them now. Have been on Commit since 2003. Have bad heartburn and ulcers. Concerned about effect on my red blood cells."

Nicorette (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "For an honest review, I'll admit that I haven't tried too many things. Gum, patches, and vaping being the only things I've tried; but I think this gum is actually pretty good. I bought off brand stuff years ago and compared to this; it tasted awful and the texture of the gum was really soft. This tastes like real gum (for about 30 seconds) but the consistency is on par with your juicy fruit. I haven't dipped or smoked in a long time, but I do still use the gum. I think eventually I'll switch to just regular gum on schedule. It does its job but only if you allow it to. Best of luck"

Nicoderm CQ (nicotine) "I have smoked since I was 14 years old and am now 73. Wasn't much at first, but as the years went by it got a lot worse. In fact I would have to say at least two packs a day. I always wanted to quit, but never thought I could do it after smoking so long and so much. Then on 5-31-09 I was taken to the emergency room because I couldn't catch my breath. I stayed there for 4 days. They put the "patch" on me in there and sent me home with an oxygen tank. Now I know I have to quit. I now have COPD. Anyway I made up my mind right then and there I was going to stay on the Nicoderm patch. I'm now on my "step #3" 7mg's and I only have 4 patches left."

For Smoking Cessation "My mother smoked for over 50 years and was recently in hospital for pneumonia. She had to be put on the patch (21 mg) while in there. I am thrilled to say that it has been 16 days and she has not even thought about a cigarette. I say that is a miracle because she always had to have an extra pack of cigarettes so she would not run out! Thank you for a great product!"

Commit (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "I have been a smoker for about 20 years and committ was the only thing that worked for me. I tried many times to quit before and was unsuccessful until i tried these. My only problem now is that I have been smoke free for the 12 weeks and yet I am still hooked on the lozenges. I can definately feel the need to still have the lozenges and so I need to find a way to break free of this new habit."

Nicoderm CQ (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "Only complaint I have is that is falls off constantly. I always put on medical tape with it and it still falls off. Still working for me but its honestly irritating when it falls off all the time. I would have expected something that suppose to stick on not to peel off all the time. Would be better if it just stuck on the whole day!"

Nicorette (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "Smoked daily for 15 years around a packet. I am now on my second week of quitting. It is terrible in the morning without the coffee and the cigarette. I am using around 7 pieces of the gum daily, using the chew and park method. It helps me really good, not thinking about smoking that much more on to chewing now. It certainly helps to manage the cravings and the anger."

Commit (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "I tried several times to stop smoking, but always relapsed. Commit lozenges were the only success I had. Here were my complaints about other methods: * Prescriptions - didn't want to put medicine in my body * Nicoderm CQ - patches didn't stick to hairless parts of my body * Hypnosis - I always lit up after my hypnotherapy session I stopped with Commit, but started again because I wasn't truly ready. Once I was finally determined to quit, I went back to Commit. Just when I was making this decision, they came out with the Cappuccino flavor version and as of today I have been a non-smoker for three and a half months. It's the only method that has truly worked for me."

Commit (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "Yep, you're gonna get a mild case of hiccups during the first 3 days or so, but like the man said below, it's better than cancer. Don't be foolish - smoking isn't good, and these work. After a few weeks, start trading off with cheap mint candies every other turn, then 3 to 1 etc. I started with 8 a day, and ended up done with it all at the beginning of week 5! Seriously, you really must want to quit. Get through the first week (that's the rough part), and it's all downhill after that. Do it!"

Nicotrol NS (nicotine) for Smoking Cessation "I have no illusions about this stuff; it is somewhat marginal to say it is better than cigarettes. However, for me Nicotrol has been and continues to be better than cigarettes. I'm not sorry that 15 years ago, a PA in a major-university-hospital smoking cessation program told me about Nicotrol NS as part of the initial protocols available. It does only provide a short physical affect but it delivers it very very quickly, so for that reason for than anything, is why Nicotrol works for me!"
