Insulin aspart/insulin degludec for Type 2 Diabetes "Since starting Ryzodeg insulin 5 months ago, I have terrific pains in my legs, especially at rest. I feel I have the onset of arthritis, and some nights I cough, although I do not have a cough during the day, and my chest is clear. Also, I am battling to keep weight down."

Insulin aspart/insulin degludec for Diabetes, Type 1 "Ryzodeg really lowers my blood sugar with my doctor’s prescription of taking it before breakfast and dinner. But after 2 hours of my meal, I experience hypoglycemia, usually in the morning. The side effects in me are feeling bloated, muscle pain in my legs and feet, and I gained weight. But nevertheless, from my blood sugar of always 300 (HbA1c - 11.9), now it's 80-150 results. In the last week of May 2018, I will have my laboratory, and I'm excited to see the result of my HbA1c."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Started Ryzodeg 70/30 a few months ago after a few years on Lantus and linagliptin but having trouble keeping my glucose levels under control. Injecting up to 54 units at night then having to top up with 20-30 units a few times during the day and still not getting great results (post meal around 9-10 mmol/L). With Ryzodeg, I still take 54 units (26 pre-breakfast, 28 pre-dinner) but now get glucose levels post meals of mid to high sevens and no topping up during the day. The only side effect has been a slight weight increase-around 1.5 kg. Still taking linagliptin pills as well. This insulin mix, in my opinion, has been hugely successful."

Insulin aspart/insulin degludec for Diabetes, Type 1 "I had been on Lantus once daily and Novolog before meals. I suddenly started having massive hypos after dinner, which I had never had. A ton of fast-acting sugary drinks and jelly beans started taking a very long time to work. I was at 3.1, 3.0, 2.8, 2.7 and clicking down on my Libre 2 sensor. Then, it would very slowly come up but took 15 minutes to get back to 5.0 mmol/L. Then overnight, I went sky high, waking with a reading of 22 or 23 mmol/L. Had to take 50u Novolog to get glucose down, and after 3 hours I was still sitting at 12 mmol/L. Ryzodeg is much softer, no dramatic hypos and 3 shots a day instead of 5 or 6. I'm still working out how to dose for a 20 g carb snack, but I'm getting there. I'm no longer afraid of Novolog and am so glad I pushed for an insulin regime change. Working very well for me at least."

Insulin aspart/insulin degludec for Type 2 Diabetes "A lot of headaches which do not go away. A feeling of not being well. Lightheadedness and a dry cough. These are side effects that I am facing since I started taking Ryzodeg 70/30."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I had to get rescued from hypoglycemia after using Ryzodeg insulin. I see it is a side effect."

For Diabetes, Type 1 "I switched to ASPART yesterday. I haven't had a blood sugar under 300. I was taking Novolog for many years with no problems. Why doesn't Aspart work for me?"
