For Primary Immunodeficiency Syndrome "I use the subcutaneous, 12 grams, once-a-week dosage at home. It seemed to help the first two weeks, but now I am back to the same round of taking antibiotics and getting the sinus problems back a day after stopping the antibiotic. I would like to know why it didn't work. I am tired of living on antibiotics."

For Primary Immunodeficiency Syndrome "Horrible drug. Hizentra caused a severe site reaction, ended up in the ER. Severe blood pressure elevation to 180, normal is 120. Still elevated at 140 a week later. May have caused kidney damage. Going back to Gammaguard... way better! No reaction over 3 years."

For Primary Immunodeficiency Syndrome "I have gluten and dairy intolerances. Not entirely sure the diarrhea I have once or twice a week is from something I've eaten or from the Hizentra (weekly infusions). I feel lightheaded at times, but when one has an intolerance to the above, this symptom is common when I've had something I shouldn't have eaten. It's shortly after the lightheadedness that diarrhea occurs (next morning). Other than that, I fatigue easily, often sleeping 12 to 14 hours. Started Hizentra 4 months ago, so hopefully in another month or two will have more energy."

For Primary Immunodeficiency Syndrome "Overall, I have had the desired results. Since beginning treatment, I have had no further issues of unresolved infection. Any abrasions or illnesses have resolved themselves without the use of antibiotics. The side effects, however, have seemed to slowly increase in numbers and severity. My wife believes I am exaggerating them, but I am not! The number of headaches has increased, but not the severity. The tinnitus has dramatically increased in frequency and intensity. Bouts of recurring nausea increased. Extreme fatigue sometimes for days. Terrible itching and irritation at times. Bloating. Shortness of breath and dizziness at times. Palpitations and racing sensations. Blurry eyes very often. Occasional confusion. And multiple urination issues with back pain."

For Primary Immunodeficiency Syndrome "Once you find a good site, it is relatively painless. Almost no severe reactions yet. I can't handle IVIG very well, so this is it for me."
