"Injectafer gave me my life back. I had been dragging myself along for five years and could not get better no matter how much iron I took or how much liver, beans, and spinach I ate. Every little task seemed exhausting, and I pulled back from life. About six weeks after Injectafer, all of my symptoms disappeared. It's not quick and easy. I'm on my third infusion, and about 12 to 24 hours after each treatment, I experience fatigue, body aches (deep in your bones), and a slight fever on and off for two or three days. I also feel spaced out and stupid. My hematologist recommended Claritin and Tylenol to help with the aches and fever. From last time I was treated, I know that feeling steamrolled and stupid will pass and that a renewed vitality lies ahead, so it's bearable. Schedule your infusions for Fridays so you can crash on the couch all weekend if you need to. I am so grateful for this medication. It rescued my quality of life."

"I've battled IDA (iron deficiency anemia) for 30 years due to heavy periods. My first iron infusion was with Ferrlecit in 2006, which worked well for me (no side effects), but was time-consuming; 8 infusions over 2 weeks (4 one week, 4 the next). Each infusion lasted about 3 hours from start to finish. Plus 8 IV start pokes. My first Injectafer was in 2015. I had it in 2017 & 2019 too. What a game changer! Only two infusions, spaced a week apart. I was at the infusion center about an hour both times! So much easier to schedule around work/children! Plus only 2 IV starts. I feel fatigued and anxious/sad for about 48 hours after the first infusion day, but it's not a deal breaker, & it goes away. I only have fatigue after the second week infusion, no anxiety/sadness (not sure why). No other side effects. My IDA symptoms begin improving 1-2 weeks after the second infusion. Overall, Injectafer is great & lasts me just as long (2 years) as the Ferrlecit & involves less time/pokes. Hope this helps!"

"I developed severe muscle spasms, weakness, and peripheral neuropathy after receiving 2 Injectafer infusions. Adverse effects reported say nervous system disorders, but that doesn't describe the nightmare I have been through. I developed hypophosphatemia, which weakened my bones and caused muscle pain and weakness severe enough that I ended up in the ER. A recent study shows that about 52% of people got hypophosphatemia after Injectafer compared to less than 5% for other iron infusions. Stay away!"

"I suffered for many years with IDA (Iron Deficiency Anemia) but it wasn't a problem until last year when my hemoglobin level was steadily decreasing. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease last year and discovered that was the main cause for my IDA. I remember eating SO much ice all the time, being so tired/fatigued most days I wanted to stay in bed, being short of breath even just walking a short distance, and just always not feeling good. I could never tolerate iron pills and my body couldn't properly absorb iron from foods, so my GI helped set me up with Injectafer infusions. WOW I noticed an immediate difference after my first dose!! I did feel extremely exhausted and depressed for 48 hrs after my initial dose but otherwise felt great. After my second dose, I had so much energy I couldn't contain it. I am 1 week from my 2nd dose and feeling way more energy and less fatigue. I also no longer crave ice at all which is crazy!! I am so thankful it was only a 30 minute infusion!!"

"My dr. Called and told me I was overdosed on injectafer. I don't know how it happened but after the second dose I passed out and I have been dizzy , nausea, completely drained of energy. Blurred vision since then. And I have to go for blood work twice a week for I don't know how long. It's been over a month now and still feel the same. It's just not getting better. I have been through many medical treatments and surgeries but have never felt this bad. I pray that the iron in my blood gets lower soon. Never again."

"I have received several Injectafer infusions over the past five years. They are a godsend and provide relief from severe bouts of iron deficiency anemia. I begin to feel better within a week of the second infusion (two are required and take about 15 minutes each). I haven't had any negative side effects from this solution as I have had only good results."

"Ok. I've been reading all these reviews and I'm a bit concerned. So I've been receiving infusions for over a year now. They last me about 8 weeks. That's it. Menstrual lasts 3 to 4 days light flow. I did have a colectomy. Partial. I've had multiple tests to check for bleeding ... all Negative? So first I was on Venofer, then on Injectafer. After my first 2 doses of Injectafer, I ended up with really bad vertigo and a low phosphorus of 1.2. I was sick for about 5 days. I am going back to Venofer. This has been my experience. Everyone is different. I must admit, I am a little jealous of the treatments lasting others 2 plus years. Good luck to all of you."

"I have had iron problems for many years, and no iron medicine worked because my body wouldn't absorb it. It got to the point where I was depressed, anxious all the time, tired, had shortness of breath, and had many hospital trips. I couldn't even walk without pain and getting out of breath, and I had gained so much weight from low iron. I was so scared to get the infusion, but I couldn't live like this anymore. So, that being said, I went for it. The first one was a game changer, I felt better already, and a week later, I went for my second one on Tuesday. I had some symptoms such as headaches, nausea, and body aches, but nothing I can't deal with. I will update y'all after a week, but go for it, it's the best thing I've ever done."
