"Today marks the 78th day since I started taking this drug, and unfortunately, I am experiencing numerous adverse reactions. Whenever I take this medication, I am practically incapacitated for 3 to 4 hours. The side effects I have encountered include continuous vomiting (6 to 7 episodes within 3 hours or sometimes more), feelings of depression, persistent nausea, and an indescribable, peculiar taste in my mouth. Additionally, my vision becomes lighter and whitish, which is incredibly bothersome. I genuinely find this whole experience extremely irritating. I have informed my doctor about all of these issues, but they seem dismissive, saying, 'Oh, it happens, don't worry.' They assert that due to my serious condition, I must endure these discomforts. However, I swear I cannot tolerate it any longer. I feel helpless and unsure of whom to voice my complaints or concerns to. I am overwhelmed with a sense of loneliness at the moment. For the past two days, I have stopped taking this medication. Will discontinuing it have any adverse effects on my health? Can I achieve recovery without ethionamide?"
