The Dr stated that it was the H2 that help with the persistent itching and hives. I see that it is basically a prescribed antacid (Zantac) I was prescribed 300Mg does this sound ok?

I saw a warning to avoid antacids that contain magnesium. Is magnesium a problem from other sources? Some doctors recommend sports drinks like Gatorade, which does contain it, as a way to keep one's sodium level up. Problem?

I don't really enjoy Rolaids when they're chewed but it is the least expensive antacid that I can take that really works for me. If I swallowed a Rolaids tablet instead of chewing it will it still be as effective as it should be
