When you break a tooth, the pain isn't from infection, its because the nerve has become exposed and needs dental care. An antibiotic will do nothing for that.
Hi, sorry to hear you are suffering. Antibiotics won't help relieve the pain. If there is infection in the area, antibiotics will clear that up, which could in turn help pain relief long term. Until you can get to see the dentist, you can gargle with Aspirin (unless you are allergic), and apply Bonjella (sp?) or similar. You can also take Paracetamol every 4 hours
Hi there! Honestly, for the meantime, you can take 2-3 ibuprofen and apply oragel to relieve the tooth pain. Amoxicillin should do the magic but of course it's through RX prescription. Best of luck to you!!! Get well soon!!!
