Years ago I had a tooth pulled and had an unimaginable pain after.. After Many returns to my dentist he gave me a shot of cortisone in the sore area. He didn't have answers as to why it was hurting but the Cortisone worked!
Going on your previous responses it does sound like you may have some infection in that area and a trip to your dentist is in your best interest. Clove oil or Red Cross are also good choices for pain in the mouth area until you can get in. God bless & prayers.
beautiful; No after 2 years, it should have nothing to do with that old tooth. You need to get in and see a dentist and find out if there is an infection in the gum. You could get some otc tooth product like Orajel or anything with benzocaine in it and rub it on the gum until you can get in. Good luck to you.
Hi Beautifully,
I'm kind of baffled...
I need a few questions please.
-So two years ago was the extraction and you healed. Right?
- during that time until now, did you have any pain?
-When did the pain start this time?
- How severe is it # 1-10?with one being then lowest?
- Is there swelling?
- Do you have a fever?
- Do you feel any abscess by your gun?
- Do you have a sore throat or sinus infection?
:-)
Yes i healed but the stitch they put in stitch a nerve so i was in pain intil i went back a week later and had the stitch taken out then over the pass 2 yrs occasionally it would hurt and theres a little white dot on my gum where the tooth was pulled but within the pass 5 months it has started acting up more frequently and more painful and the cheek pain just started 3 days ago and its not constantly its only when i touch the lower part of my cheek no fever have been having like sinus like headaches on the same side very frequently which has been going on the last 6 months or so
I am relieved because I worried it may be a neurological complication.
You may have a localized problem that is now causing pain. I had a tooth pulled but part of the tiny root was left in. After 5 years it came to the surface and was no big deal.
You need to make sure it's not an infection that is causing your cheek to hurt.
As long as there is no fever, swelling or increased pain I wouldn't worry BUT get in to the dentist!
Take care
:-)
