Rexulti is used to improve symptoms of major depressive disorder in adults, schizophrenia in people 13 years and older, and reduce agitation associated with dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease.
This medication is an atypical antipsychotic.
It works by adjusting the imbalance of natural chemicals in the brain, such as dopamine and serotonin.
Rexulti is available as an oral tablet that is taken once a day.
Common side effects may include weight gain, sleepiness, dizziness, common cold symptoms, and restlessness.
