Selon-E Indications

For the prevention and treatment of white muscle disease (muscular dystrophy) in calves and lambs.

Dosage and Administration

Administer intramuscularly.

- Prevention: Calves: All ages, 1 mL per 45 kg body weight. Lambs: Newborn, 1/4 mL. 2-8 weeks, 1/2 mL.

- Treatment: Calves: 2 mL per 45 kg body weight. Lambs: 1/2 mL.

CAUTIONS: This product contains the toxic substance selenium. Do not exceed recommended dosages. Administer only to animals who are known to be ingesting sub-normal levels of selenium. In case of an anaphylactic reaction, administer epinephrine immediately.

Adverse Reactions

Anaphylactic reactions, some of which have been fatal, have been reported very rarely after the use of this product.

Warnings

Not for use in lactating dairy cattle. Do not administer at less than 30 days intervals. Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 35 days after the latest treatment with this drug. Do not exceed recommended dose. Keep out of reach of children.

Storage

Store between 15°C and 25°C.
