Active ingredients: Each L contains: Sodium chloride 6 g, Sodium lactate 3.1 g, Potassium chloride 0.3 g and Calcium chloride dihydrate 0.2 g. Total osmolarity: 237mOsml/L.

Each L provides (not including ions for adjusting pH): Sodium 130 mEq,

Potassium 4 mEq,

Calcium 3 mEq,

Total Cations 137 mEq,

Chloride 109 mEq,

Lactate 28 mEq,

Total Anions 137 mEq

Lactated Ringer's Injection, USP Indications

As an aid in the treatment of dehydration and electrolyte disturbances in cattle, horses, sheep, swine, dogs and cats.

Dosage and Administration

Warm to body temperature. For intravenous use only. Administer the contents or such amount as determined by a veterinarian.

Cautions: Do not use unless solution is clear. Additives may be incompatible. Discontinue infusion if adverse reaction occurs. Contains no preservatives. Discard any unused portion. Not for use in the treatment of lactic acidosis. Nausea and distress may sometimes occur if this solution is administered too rapidly. If these symptoms occur, discontinue injection and resume administration at a slower rate when the animal returns to normal. Supportive treatment only. Ensure proper medical treatment for infectious and/or pathological conditions.
