CAUSES SEVERE SKIN BURNS AND EYE DAMAGE.

Wash skin thoroughly after handling. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. Do not mix with bleach or other chlorinated products - will cause chlorine gas.

RESPONSE/FIRST AID:

IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/ physician.

IF ON SKIN: Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

IF INHALED: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting.

Storage

Store locked up. Store in a closed container.

HoofMax Footbath Concentrate Caution

Acid based products like HOOFMAX may contribute to concrete erosion. It is recommended that concrete footbaths are treated prior to use. CLOSE CAP TIGHTLY AFTER EACH USE.

Disposal

Dispose of contents/ container to an approved waste disposal plant.

HOOFMAX is a concentrated footbath additive for use in copper sulfate footbaths. HoofMax optimizes footbath chemistry and enhances the potency of copper throughout the life of the footbath solution.

Directions to make a footbath with HOOFMAX and Copper Sulfate:

Bath size 50 gal and over: Use 11-13 oz of HOOFMAX per 100 cows, then add 10-12 lbs of copper sulfate. Add an additional 1-1.2 Lbs of copper sulfate for every 5 gallons of water above 50 gallons. Maximum 700 cow passes.

Bath size under 50 gal: Use 8 -10 oz. of HOOFMAX per 100 cows, then add 8-10 lbs of copper sulfate.

Agitate liquid until copper sulfate is dissolved.

To calculate footbath capacity in gallons:

(length (“) x width (“) x depth(“) ÷ 231) = gallons

IMPORTANT: pH OF FOOTBATH SHOULD NOT RISE ABOVE 4.00.
