Metabolic
- Frequency not reported: Dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, severe hypernatremic dehydration (with use of excessive amounts in pediatric patients)[Ref]

- Frequency not reported: Aspiration producing airway obstruction and fatalities, bronchiolitis resulting in death after aspiration of activated charcoal[Ref]
