Capsaicin / menthol / methyl nicotinate / methyl salicylate topical Side Effects
Applies to capsaicin / menthol / methyl nicotinate / methyl salicylate topical: topical film.
Capsaicin, menthol, methyl nicotinate, and methyl salicylate can increase your risk of fatal heart attack or stroke. Do not use this medicine just before or after heart surgery. Capsaicin, menthol, methyl nicotinate, and methyl salicylate may also cause stomach or intestinal bleeding, which can be fatal.
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of a heart attack or stroke: chest pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder, sudden numbness or weakness on one side of the body, slurred speech, leg swelling, feeling short of breath.
Stop using capsaicin, menthol, methyl nicotinate, and methyl salicylate and call your doctor at once if you have:

severe skin irritation;

wheezing, trouble breathing;

high blood pressure--severe headache, blurred vision, pounding in your neck or ears;

liver problems--loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain (upper right side), tiredness, itching, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes);

signs of stomach bleeding--bloody or tarry stools, coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds; or
-
kidney problems--swelling, urinating less, feeling tired or short of breath.
Less serious side effects may be more likely, and you may have none at all.
