Drug Interaction Report

If you are currently being treated or have recently been treated with everolimus, you should let your doctor know before receiving zoster vaccine live. Depending on the dose and length of time you have been on everolimus, you may be at risk for developing an infection from the vaccine or have a reduced response to the vaccine. In some situations, your doctor may want to delay vaccination to give your body time to recover from the effects of everolimus therapy. Conversely, if you have recently been vaccinated with zoster vaccine live, your doctor may choose to postpone treatment with everolimus for a few weeks. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Grapefruit juice can increase the blood levels and effects of everolimus. You should not drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruits during your treatment with everolimus. Orange juice is not expected to interact.
