- heparin
- Staphcillin (methicillin)
Interactions between your drugs
methicillin heparin
Applies to: Staphcillin (methicillin), heparin
Case reports have suggested that intravenous penicillins may intensify the effect of heparin by inhibition of platelet aggregation; however, causality has not been clearly determined. Patients should be monitored for bleeding problems. Protamine sulfate may be useful for clinically important bleeding.
