Eltrombopag and multivitamin with minerals should not be taken orally at the same time. Products that contain aluminum, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc or other minerals may interfere with the absorption of eltrombopag into the bloodstream and reduce its effectiveness. You should take eltrombopag on an empty stomach at least 2 hours before or 4 hours after multivitamin with minerals. You should take eltrombopag on an empty stomach one hour before or two hours after a meal. Eltrombopag should also be taken at least 2 hours before or 4 hours after products like antacids, mineral supplements, dairy products, and fortified juices.
